Northglenn, Colorado is a planned community that was developed in the 1950’s. It is located nine miles north of Denver in western Adams County. The city encompasses 7.5 square miles of land split to make a well-balanced community, including open space, residential, industrial, educational, and commercial land.
Northglenn is home to 31,575 residents with a median age of 33.2 years. The household income is $48,276. Overall, employment is about 30% sales and office, 30% management, professional or related occupations, and 15% production and transportation.
Croke Reservoir, with its tall native grasses and mature trees, is a beautiful place to stroll, fish or just watch for wildlife. It is a great place for summer outings and celebrations and there are several shelters available for reservations.
The city is known for its well-planned trail systems. The city includes 550 acres of parks and open space, tennis courts, ball fields, swimming pools, and a recreation center. There are 23 unique neighborhood Parks, located throughout the community with a variety of amenities form basketball courts to picnic shelters to fishing.
